Producer (Older People)

Start date: September 2025

Hours of work: 15 hours per week (equivalent to 2 days) including evening and weekend work as required (no overtime is payable, but time off in lieu may be given)

Salary: Full-time equivalent of £30,900 per annum actual £12,360

Period of contract: September 2025 to March 2027

Annual Leave: 25 days plus statutory and bank holidays pro-rata.

Pension: Where eligible, auto-enrolment in company pension scheme

Probation period: 6 months

Notice period: 3 months

Right to work: The candidate would have to have the right to work in the UK to take up this role.

Yorkshire Dance are looking for someone to join the team part time as a Producer (Older People). You will be managing In Mature Company and Dancing Together which support people living with dementia to enjoy dance. You will contribute to key initiatives with older people, including our biannual Ageless Festival.

Main Duties

Project Management

· Annual project planning, management and delivery of In Mature Company and Dancing Together

· Managing and supporting freelance artists

· Managing partnerships and relationships with stakeholders.

· Supporting timely data collection and evaluation.

· Championing and advocating for Yorkshire Dance’s work with older adults

Producing

· Supporting the curation of Ageless Festival 2026

· Planning and managing one-off audience development programmes for Ageless 2026 including contracting freelance artists and scheduling outreach workshops and rehearsals.

About Yorkshire Dance

Each year Yorkshire Dance supports 200 dance artists, hosts 2 dance festivals (audience of 1,500), supports 2 sub-regional dance networks and delivers 1,600 weekly community dance sessions (1,000 participants). Dance sessions take place in our studios, in community centres and care homes throughout Leeds and Bradford. You can find out more about our current programmes on our website and social media.
